FAQs

1 / What is the purpose of Tiger Consulting?

Tiger Consulting was founded with the fundamental goal of providing data driven consulting services to clients whilst giving Princeton students a competitive edge for recruitment through rigorous training and experience.

2 / What can I expect to be doing on a weekly basis?

New members will spend the first two weeks in a generalist training program followed by a further two weeks training under the guidance of their Managing Director in their practice area. Upon successful completion of the training program members can expect to be working on cases for our clients, publishing white papers, entering case competitions, engaging in weekly team/client meetings, and social events with other members. The average time commitment is 5 hours per week.

3 / How can I learn more about the culture and member experience?

Talk to us! Feel free to personally reach out to any member of Tiger Consulting or email us and we’ll be more than happy to chat with you about our experiences.

4 / I got an interview! How can I prepare?

The first interview that you will face is a behavioral interview, this will be a 15 minute conversation with a current member of Tiger Consulting to help us understand your academic and professional background, who you are, and your goals. No preparation is required for this interview. Next you will have a case interview, which will be a 30-45 minute interview with two of our Managing Directors. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with general consulting case preparation materials ahead of this interview and come prepared to showcase your problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills!

5 / I'm unsure if I want to pursue a career in consulting, should I still apply?

Absolutely! Joining Tiger Consulting will provide you with a suite of skills and experiences that are valued by all employers and members have experience across Finance, Politics, and Non-Profit work to name a few. We recommend that you explore all your career interests and we will support you in doing so.

6 / I wasn’t offered a spot for this cohort, is there any way to stay involved?

Yes! Tight competition for limited spots might mean that we are unable to welcome you to the team at this point in time, however, we recommend that you subscribe to our email list to stay up to date on all things Tiger Consulting.
